Firkins Automotive Makes Your Social Life Simple with Bradenton Tonight

Check out our top picks for upcoming August Bradenton events

We get it: it’s easy to fall into a rut when it comes to spending your evenings at home instead of experiencing all that Bradenton has to offer. At Firkins Automotive, we’re committed to helping our customers add more adventure to their lives—and not just by offering a wide selection of exciting new vehicles. One of our other initiatives is sponsoring, a directory that makes it easy to find out where to go when the sun goes down.

The site includes links to popular destinations in the Bradenton community, including Regal Cinemas – Oakmont 8, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Robarts Arena and the Sarasota Fairgrounds, and more. You’ll also find useful tools to get the most out of your evening, including local weather, Bradenton news, and transportation options.

How to Upgrade Your Vehicle’s Sound System

Drivers of great cars deserve great audio. The right sound system can take the edge off rush hour traffic and give comfort during a long road trip. When you’re ensconced in the driver’s seat, a vehicle can transform into a refined concert hall or a raucous arena when the right buttons are pushed. Thrilling, reverberating, life-like audio is a fantasy for some drivers right now, but it can become reality with the right audio-system upgrade. Read along with Firkins Automotive to find out more.

4 Ways the Jeep® Brand is Connected to Freedom

Although the 4th of July is already over, that doesn’t mean we should think any less about freedom. As it happens, the Jeep® brand is all about freedom, whether it’s defending it in wartime or just giving you the freedom to roam this great land of ours. Here’s a closer look at four ways the Jeep brand is connected to freedom.

1) Jeep Helped the Allies Defend Freedom

In 1940, the US military let automakers know that it was retiring its motorcycle and modified Model-T vehicles. The military was on the lookout for a light reconnaissance vehicle, and it found the Willys Quad. Although the vehicle was known by many names before it became widely available to the public, at its core, it was the first Jeep.

2) You’re Free to Decide How the Brand Got Its Name
Speaking of the Jeep name, how exactly did it become known as a “Jeep”? According to some, the name came from soldiers calling the vehicle by its acronym, turning “GP” into “Jeep.” Others say soldiers named the car after a cartoon character: Eugene the Jeep, a creature with teleportation abilities from the Popeye the Sailor cartoon. No one actually knows for sure where the name came from, however, so you’re free to decide which story you like best.

3) The Easter Safari Celebrates the Freedom of Creativity

Each winter, the engineers and designers at Jeep get ready for the annual Easter Jeep Safari, which takes place in Moab, Utah. There, Jeep shows off its creativity and imagination with a variety of concept vehicles. 2015 saw seven interesting designs, from the Hawaii-inspired Chief to the Overlander, which even features a clamshell pop-up tent for two on its roof.

4) The Jeep Jamboree is All About the Freedom of Exploration

Jeep drivers are all about exploring this great country of ours, and the Jeep Jamboree USA helps those drivers explore together. Each year, Jeep drivers get together across the country to enjoy some of the best trails in the US of A. Guided by trail veterans, everyone that participates in the Jamboree gets to see their vehicle in its natural state: adventure.

If you’d like to learn more about how a Jeep can increase the amount of freedom in your life, be sure to contact us at Firkins Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram today.
